Busisiwe Mabuza is Chair of the Board of Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa, established to promote sustainable economic growth and industrial development in South Africa which is the largest development finance institution in sub-Saharan Africa. She was appointed an Independent Non-Executive Director of Ninety One plc and Sustainability, Social and Ethics Committee Chair on 19 November 2020. Mabuza is also Lead Independent Director of Tsogo Sun Gaming Limited, a South African gaming and entertainment group listed on the JSE.
She has held several other Non-Executive Directorships, including appointments as Chair of the Board of Directors of Airports Company South Africa Limited and the Central Energy Fund Proprietary Limited. Mabuza was also previously a partner at Ethos Private Equity Proprietary Limited and has held several positions at several listed and private South African investment firms.
Mabuza holds an MBA from the New York University’s Leonard Stern School of Business and a BA Mathematics and Computer Science from Hunter College, City University of NY.
